CASSA NITE 2012 “Our Stories, Our Histories” is an Exhibition and Gala Dinner to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month organized by the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians. The Keynote speaker will be Bhairavi Desai, who is the Executive Director of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance. The Master of Ceremonies will be Steven D’Souza of the CBC. The Gala will feature a South Asian history and culture exhibit, awards for South Asian Canadians for their social and economic justice work, and cultural performances throughout the evening. Local 4400 is supporting the event and has members attending the event.
